For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Christ, because it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first, and also for the Greek.

Our Vision
God has called us to serve the people of Churchill and district:
* To help people know the fullness of God’s love and forgiveness in Christ and then to walk in all the blessings of the New Creation.
* To show God’s love by providing practical help to families and individuals in our community.
* Where practicable, to assist other organisations and churches that are actively helping people in our area.

Starting the Year

Now that the Christmas holidays are over, we are back into the swing of the year.

Our first prayer and fasting day was on Saturday 2nd. We had intended to go up to Mt Tassie Lookout, where we could see out over the Latrobe Valley to pray for our area, but with a number of fires burning throughout Gippsland, the smoke was so heavy that visibility would have been virtually zero. There was also some concern that a local fire could take off and cut us off, so instead we gathered in Churchill and had a great time praying for the valley and our nation.

Over the holidays our Tuesday night meetings have been social events – a barbeque, a night of ten-pin bowling, and a video evening – but last Tuesday we were back to our normal Bible Study/ Prayer Meeting at the Churchill hub. This year we are going to be studying through the Book of Acts, and our first foray into it produced some interesting discussion.

Tonight (Friday 8th February) was our first healing meeting for the year. We had a good turnout, and the Holy Spirit was present to touch lives, with several testifying to having received healing either tonight or in previous meetings.
